A safe, confidential space to talk, understand and find a way forward
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with something happening in your life now, trying to make sense of experiences from the past, experiencing difficulties within a relationship or family, or simply feeling that something isn’t quite right.
At Lotus Therapy, we provide psychotherapy and counselling for individual adults, couples, children, young people and families.
We believe therapy should be as individual as the person seeking it. Our therapists bring different areas of experience and specialist knowledge, helping you find the therapist and approach that feels right for you.
Individual Therapy for Adults
You don’t need to be in crisis to come to therapy.
Therapy can provide time and space to explore difficult feelings and experiences, understand yourself and your relationships more deeply, recognise patterns that may no longer be helpful and consider what you might want to change.
We work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement and loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, abuse, pregnancy and baby loss, health and life changes, work-related difficulties and neurodiversity.
You don’t need to decide whether you need counselling or psychotherapy before contacting us. We can talk with you about what is happening and what might be most helpful.
Couples & Relationship Therapy
Relationships can become difficult for many reasons. Parenting, work, finances, illness, intimacy, blended families and the pressures of everyday life can all affect the way we communicate with those closest to us.
Couples therapy offers a neutral space in which both people can be heard. It can help you understand patterns that have developed between you, consider each other’s experiences and find different ways of communicating and relating.
It isn’t about deciding who is right or wrong — it’s about understanding what is happening between you and what you both need moving forward.
Children, Young People & Families
Our therapists have extensive experience of working with children, young people and families, including specialist experience in trauma, attachment, adoption and fostering, autism, ADHD and neurodiversity.
We also offer Dance Movement Psychotherapy for children and young people, providing an alternative way of working when experiences may be difficult to express through words alone.

Finding someone you feel comfortable with is an important part of therapy. Your first appointment gives you an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy, ask questions and get a sense of whether the therapist feels right for you.
You don’t need to know exactly what kind of support you need before contacting us. Get in touch and we’ll help you consider the best place to start.
